1954 ~ 2025
Our brother Robert George Robison (Rob) passed from this world on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at his parents’ home in Salt Lake City after a long illness. He was 71 years old.
He was born in Cascade, Idaho on August 20, 1954, to Parker Pratt and Georgia Jean (Nock) Robison. He was the second child of four children. A great athlete in his youth, he set records in track and field, as well as wrestling. He graduated from East High School. He particularly loved being in the East High auto shop and appreciated those caring instructors that helped him expand his knowledge of auto and motorcycle mechanics.
Later, he would become a fine motorcycle mechanic, working for Perry Brothers Honda, Stewarts, as well as Honda World. He also raced motorcycles competitively for years, filling his room with many first-place trophies. He particularly loved his twin Triumph 650, and later his Can-Am single-562cc motocross bike, both he used to win many races while competing against newer and lighter two-stroke machines. He won his races through his superior skill and grit on the track.
He worked for a few years in the motorcycle and snowmobile marketing world, traveling the country representing several well-known companies. He worked for several years for E-Systems in Salt Lake County. He also worked for a time as a security officer in Las Vegas for a major casino chain. He worked with the movie industry, both in Utah, but also in Southern California, landing a few bit parts. He loved to fish, but most of all to ride his motorcycles.
He loved to play guitar and sing. He wrote songs and also worked as an apprentice for a guitar-making craftsman where he learned to make his own beautiful acoustic guitars.
In recent years, he tenderly took care of his aging parents until their passing. He is survived by his brothers Rick (Robin) and Roger (Linay), and sister, Rosemary Evans (Glen). He is the beloved uncle of nine nieces and nephews and the great uncle of seventeen.
His ashes will be interred in the Salt Lake City Cemetery next to the burials of his father and mother.
Rob believed in the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, and he loved his family with all his heart, and we know he is with our loved ones in heaven now, free of pain and suffering, and finally at peace.
