1968 ~ 2025
Robin Michelle Starks returned home to her Heavenly Father on August 3, 2025 after a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Tooele, Utah and raised in Erda. Robin graduated as class of ’86 from Tooele High School, and shortly after started her career as a budget analyst for the Tooele Army Depot. She retired from the Tooele Army Depot in October of 2024; accumulating over thirty years of service. Throughout her life, and especially in her retirement, Robin loved to do yard work and tend to her garden. Her favorite flowers to grow were Dahlias, Hibiscus, Lillies, and countless others. In the garden she took pride in growing tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, peppers, cantaloupe, and watermelon. To escape the heat of the summer, Robin loved to go camping and ATV riding in the side-by-side with her family; the Strawberry Reservoir area being one of her favorite places to go. Some side-by-side trails she liked were the “Halloween Tree” and the “Haunted Forest”. Robin loved and cared for all kinds of animals, specifically her three calico cats. She loved to tend to her cows, pigs, and chickens as well. Throughout her life, Robin was an avid sports fan, playing softball, volleyball, and bowling. She bowled many years on competitive leagues with her sisters, mother, and later her husband, Shane. Robin loved football season, and always rooted for the Denver Broncos. Both NASCAR and football were always watched on Sunday’s. She loved watching her three children play sports; Her eldest son baseball, her eldest daughter softball, and most recently her youngest daughter play soccer.
Robin met the love of her life, Shane Starks, in April of 2014. They married two years later in April of 2016. She had her first two children, PJ and Holli, in her first marriage to Lee Sklyes. She later had her youngest daughter and final child, Hailey, to Wade Forbush. She gained two step-children, Wyatt and Megan, who she loved as if they were her own. Altogether, she had nine grandchildren. She loved to have the grandkids running around and tending to them; She thought it was very important to raise them all equally with love, affection, and tenderness.
Robin is survived by her husband Shane Starks, and her five children: Paul Sklyes, Holli Skyles (Cody Ertmann), Hailey Forbush (Nick Ackerman), Megan Davie (Ethan Davie), and Wyatt Starks (Ashley Starks). I never really got the chance to spend much time with her, but with the little time I did have with her, that time was pretty good, mainly from camping at the Strawberry Reservoir. Despite the little time I had with her, she was still family to me, my Aunt. I hope she rests peacefully, and everyone can move forward from this.
I would like to offer you my condolences. I have only met your family once. But, that brief meeting we had, made me feel very welcomed. I am Calvin's sister, but after meeting you, I felt as if my family had gotten bigger.
Sorry for your families loss
Sorry for your loss, but she is in good hands with God.
My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your loved ones. Robin was a very special Angel and it was an honor and a privilege to be considered her friend. The special memories I carry will be with me forever. May she rest in peace forever more. Love Annie and Adolphus
