Roxanne Groves

1955 ~ 2022

Roxann Fay Groves was born March 20th, 1955, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Roxann was a sweet woman, who spent her life helping people and making new friends constantly. Everywhere she went in life both professionally and personally. It didn’t matter where she was or what she was doing, she was always making conversation with people. She loved to crochet and created many Afghans to gift her family and friends. That was her favorite pastime. Roxann also enjoyed doing word search puzzles daily and playing solitaire on the floor every night with actual cards. Often times her daughter would also grab a deck of cards and join her on the floor, playing solitaire right beside her. Roxann loved watching NASCAR and would rarely miss a race. She was even able to attend races in person. Roxann was also an avid Betty Boop fan. She acquired a large collection of Betty Boop memorabilia over the years.

Roxann was a loving, caring wife for 21 years. She was a mother to 2 children while working full time in the customer service industry. Later on, a disability would prevent her from working.

She was truly a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She is already missed so much and will continue to be deeply missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing her, and who had the luck of being her family.

We know that we are “loved by you, yes nobody else but you” and we “Boop-Oop-A-Doop” love you too.

Love you most, Mom/Roxy. We take comfort knowing that you are no longer in pain, and we know you are very happy to be reunited with our family. We know that you have joined our team of angels and are always watching over and protecting us. We couldn’t have asked for a better team than the one we’ve got right now. No more worrying. We’re going to be alright; I promise.

Roxann is survived by her son Richard Groves III, her daughter Barbara Deon Fry (Randy). Her 2 grandchildren, Aydan and Jaxon. Sisters, Edna Allred and Tammie Scott (Doug). Her brother, Allan Stevenson (Carolyn). And many more uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Keith Leroy Stevenson and Margaret Deon Stevenson (Draper). Her sister, Carolyn Stevenson and her brother-in-law Miles Allred.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Roxann. However, the date, time, and location of the service are yet to be determined. Roxann’s daughter, Barbara, and sisters Edna and Tamie will inform all family and friends of the details ASAP. Anyone that would like to keep a little bit of Roxanns ashes, will need to please purchase your own keepsake (i.e. Mini Urn, or Necklace), for the ashes to be kept in. Keepsakes can be found on the Amazon website and are inexpensive to purchase. Please contact Barbara Fry or Edna Allred if you are planning to purchase a keepsake when you have your keepsake, and for any questions, you may have.
