Janice passed away on August 29, 2018 in her home surrounded by family. She fought a valiant fight as she did with everything in life. She put on her dancing shoes and angel wings to go to a world without pain.
Janice was born Nov. 4, 1930 to goodly parents, Richard Frederick Harvey Warren and Jennie Kirsten Larsen in Nephi, UT. She was the youngest of 7 children.
She went to Nephi Elementary, moved to Salt Lake and attended Horace Mann Jr. High and West High, where she was yearbook editor. Married to Ken for 70 years. They had 2 loving daughters ‚ Janell (Terry Overturf) and Debra Chaille (Kevin Ethington).
Janice was always a hard worker. She retired from the Salt Lake Tribune and most recently taught the class of 2 year old's at Garfield Learning Center. She also enjoyed golfing with her favorite golfing partner, Ken, and was proud of her hole-in-one.
She was a one-woman crusade to save the world by recycling everything or using the least amount of everything.
She had several callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with her last being in the Salt Lake Temple Youth Center.
She had an amazing personality and the sweetest spirit. She was always selfless, kind, and loving. To know her was to be part of her family.
Janice's family was the most important thing to her. She would put whatever aside that she was doing to play with the grandkids and read and sing to them. You never left her house hungry, she made the best tuna sandwiches, crab cakes and made everything with love. Her family will miss Saturday morning breakfasts at her house, coloring Easter eggs, and watching fireworks on the 24th of July. For many years we thought that was her favorite holiday until recently when she admitted she didn't even like fireworks she just loved having the family over. She made every member of her family feel so important and special with personal letters, cards and phone calls. She had such a nurturing spirit and was a great example to all and taught us so many lessons.
Grandma, you will be forever in our hearts and forever missed.
