Sayali June Bhide

2018 ~ 2022

Sayali June Bhide (pronounced "Sy-Li" "B-Day"), age 4, passed away on November 25, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on June 29, 2018 in Dallas, Texas to Ravi Jayant Bhide and Alysha Rose (Comstock) Bhide.

Sayali was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She was a princess with the strength of a warrior who faced multiple open-heart surgeries, and many months in the hospital. Despite everything, she never gave up and never let her condition destroy her spirit. She was the bright light in many lives. She spent her last few years with family and friends when her parents moved back to Utah. In June 2022, her heart became too damaged, and she had to stay at Primary Children's Hospital while she awaited a transplant. During her stay, she maintained her happy loving spirit despite the physical limitations she faced. She passed away before she was able to receive a new heart but was able to touch the hearts of everyone around her. Everyone who met her, including hospital staff, knew Sayali for her spark. She was full of life and a genuinely loving little girl. She loved pink and purple, music, art and Minnie Mouse. She was remarkably intelligent, funny, imaginative, kind and full of life.. She loved her family, her staff and she brightened the life of everyone that was in contact with her. She was a star that was deeply loved and will be deeply missed. For the strongest hearts have the most scars.

Survived by: Parents Ravi & Alysha Bhide, Acting Grandparents William & Helena Moore, Grandfather Keith Comstock, Grandparents Jayant and Vijaya Bhide. Preceded in death by: Grandmother Roxanne June (Moore) Comstock, Great Grandparents, Klin & Dorothy (Moore) Sheffer.

A viewing will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, SLC, UT on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 6 to 8 pm.

Sweet little Sayali will always be in my heart! She made class so fun and she made me happy.
I will never forget all her little dances as we did circle time, her wandering around the room singing Sayali original songs to herself , having her favorite chair at meal times, and all the funny little things she would say when she got frustrated.
I love her and I’m grateful I got to be her teacher for the year and 1/2 I had her!
She is for sure a true super star!!

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I have been following Sayali’s story since she was born. I remember alysha telling us she was pregnant and then telling us Sayali was born with a heart defect. I would see sayalis pictures and it would make me smile as I never knew her, but through her pictures I could see she was a genuine sweet little girl and you couldn’t tell if she was in pain or going though multiple surgeries . She was truly a sweet warrior. I will forever remember her loving smile.
