1972 ~ 2025
Sean Michael Pasinsky, 53, of Murray, Utah, passed away on December 29, 2025, after a life defined by curiosity, service, and love.
Sean was born December 29th in Delta, Colorado, the son of Steve Pasinsky and Deborah Boyd.
Sean graduated from high school in 1991, then went on to the University of Utah, earning a degree in Chemical and Fuels Engineering. He has been a student of science and engineering ever since.
Sean joined the United States Air Force in 1991 and served until his honorable discharge in 1995. A veteran of Operation Desert Storm, he also served nearly three years overseas, including being stationed in Germany, and served his country with dedication and pride. During his service, he participated in a key U.S. – Hungary diplomatic and military cooperation effort that was critical to Hungary’s future NATO membership. In recognition of his contributions, the Hungarian military awarded him the title of Honorary Colonel.
Sean brought the same curiosity to his work that he brought to everything else. He worked as a chemical engineer, leading new methods for producing xylitol from renewable sources. He later served as a senior
consultant supporting military organizations and also designed formulations for nutrition supplements. He even owned and operated a fashion label.
Sean loved to travel and explored much of the world, always eager to share those experiences with the people he loved. He was devoted to being both a teacher and a lifelong student. After any conversation with him, people often left knowing more than when they arrived.
Remaining to cherish Sean’s memory are his son, Aiden Pasinsky; his mother, Deborah Boyd; and the many members of his found family who loved him dearly.
A Memorial Service for Sean with Military Honors will be by invitation only.

I’m very sorry for your lost. God will give you strength during these times of uncertainty.
In life, we all have moments of self-reflection, times when we get caught up in our own struggles. Today I learned that my good friend passed away, and it has deeply humbled me.
Sean was a true and proud father, a great friend, a mentor, and a man of sound advice. You were important to me, and you will always be remembered.
Sean was like a mentor to me, and even though our friendship was only a handful of years, I don’t think I could quantify how much he taught me. He might have been the first person that made me feel truly smart, despite a lifetime of testing poorly in school. Our deep conversations and building of Time Machine were genuinely world opening and life changing for me. Sean changed my life for the better.
He supported my art, my career, and he was an amazing cheerleader to everyone close to him. I admired him for that and so much more.
Aiden, I cannot fathom how much you’re hurting right now, I am so sorry. Your father was a great man with a big heart. I wish that so much had turned out differently.
Sending you my love. Sean will not be forgotten by me.
-Sarah

I will having a friend who can answer any question.
All my condolences to his family and friends.
Im so grateful to have had a childhood with my big brother Sean. He taught me everything and was my protector. He was funny, fearless and brilliant. Often thinking of himself like McGuyver, he invented cool stuff even as a kid. I will miss and love him the rest of my days here on earth. He is loved and hopefully at peace. Miss you big brother.

Sean was extremely intelligent and very interesting. I didn’t know him very well. I had a few business dealings with him however I could tell he was a very special human. My condolences go out to his family. I know he has a very intelligent son who he was extremely proud of. In fact, he gave me some really valuable parenting advice for my son.
