Our sweet Nauna, Shauna Thomas, passed away peacefully in her home in Herriman, Utah, on May 16, 2025. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on November 29, 1952. Shauna married her one and only, Dale Thomas, on June 9, 1974. The term "opposites attract" truly defined their relationship. While Shauna enjoyed palm trees, sunshine, the beach, and being wherever the party was, Dale preferred the tranquility of the mountains and solitude. They shared a love for golfing, and she took delight in beating him at the game for over 50 years.
Raising her two children was one of Shauna's greatest joys and accomplishments. She found happiness in the simple things in life. No amount of laughter or dancing was ever enough for her, especially when shared with her loved ones. She deeply adored her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Shauna's infectious smile often led strangers to approach her just to chat, a connection she always embraced. She had an abundance of love and generosity, perfectly balanced with sarcasm and mischief. Always ready for an adventure, sometimes viewing rules as mere suggestions.
She had so much love for so many and will be greatly missed.
Shauna is survived by her loving husband, Dale Thomas; her son, Cody (Marci) Thomas, and their children, Kamber and Wyatt; her Grandaughter Jade Pulham; her daughter, Tracy Thomas; and her brother, Jim (Paula) Bills.
She was preceded in death by her father- and mother-in-law, Harold and Marie Thomas; her mother-in-law, Hilda Thomas; her uncle and aunt, Harold and Norma Trimble; and her uncle and aunt, Jerry and Vonnie Trimble.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Larkin Mortuary in Riverton, Utah. A public visitation will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by a burial at the Riverton City Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will take place from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Larkin Mortuary in Riverton where friends and family can share memories or a story about Shauna. A light dinner will be served.
Guestbook/Condolences
I was very sorry to hear about Shauna,s passing. I met her when she started dating Dale. She was a wonderful woman as a wife to Dale, a mother to her children, and aunt to my daughters. Very sorry for your loss Dale and may she forever Rest In Peace
So sad to hear of Shauna's passing she was such a wonderful lady and great neighbor always worrying more about others than herself. I'll always miss her waving as she drove by on her way to work or home.

As another grandmother of Shauna's adored grandchildren (Kamber and Wyatt) I witnessed how much she truly did adore them. They deeply adored her in return---with good reason. Not only was their 'Nauna" loving and creative, she was probably the funnest grandmother on the planet. She will be sorely missed and always remembered.
My sincere condolences to Dale,Cody and Tracey and to the rest of the Thomas family. I was shocked and very saddened to about Shaunas passing. During my time in the family I always looked forward to family events just knowing that Shauna with her bright smile and quick wit was going to be there.
