Our Mother and Grandmother, Shirley Ann Stobbe Goodrich, slipped quietly into the arms of her Savior on April 8, 2024, to join her husband and her beloved daughter.
Shirley Ann was born on March 1, 1936, and was the much-loved baby of the Stobbe Family.
Always daddy's little girl, Shirley Ann grew up on East South Temple, attending Wasatch Elementary, Stewart Training School, Bryant Jr. High School and East High School. And the University of Utah.
Shirley Ann spent her young years of 13 to 15 in Tehran, Iran, with her parents where her Father was the Chief of The Medical Division for the Point IV Program. This opportunity created her lifelong love of travel. Shirley Ann traveled to Europe and Mexico many times, New Zealand and Canada, the Caribbean, but Kauai, Hawaii always had a special place in her heart.
Family always came first to her. She was a caretaker most of her life and gave selflessly of herself to her family. She devoted her life to caring for Claudia, who had Cystic Fibrosis, involving herself and my Father in many CF fundraising activities. She cared for her husband, who suffered from Parkinson's Disease for 20 years.
She loved to read and was voracious, sometimes finishing three books in one day. We once donated 5,000 books, and they always piled up around her. This made her a great conversationalist, and she kept up on the latest issues. She was also involved in local politics, being a Republican Delegate for 30 years.
Shirley Ann was an active and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in various positions. She was the President of the Relief Society, a Gospel Doctrine Teacher, and held many other important roles.
A die-hard college basketball fan and a 56-year season ticket holder for the University of Utah Men's basketball team!
She loved College Basketball, especially the NCAA men's basketball playoff time.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Reece Goodrich, and her daughter, Claudia Ruth Goodrich Stevens. Siblings: Joseph, Evelyn, Marilyn, and Marylou
She is survived by her son Mark R. Goodrich, daughter Rebecca Watson, Granddaughter Sarah Watson, and Fiancé Jarod Delacasas. Son-in-law John Stevens, his wife Shauna Stevens, and her children Shaelyn, Stephanie, and Carl.
Her kindness and softness left a lasting imprint on the world. Though Shirley Ann may no longer be with us in person, her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched.
We would like to thank Sagewood at Daybreak, especially JoDee Ann, for their kind and loving care of our mom.

Guestbook/Condolences
Condolences and Love to her family. I've always loved Aunt Shirley from my earlier years when she use to tease me as a kid. Going to her house for family gatherings, and more recently when she'd come to Orem for appointments and afterwards take us to lunch. She was fun to spend time with. I'll always remember her smile and laugh. Till we meat again.
