Susan Ina Klein Beyer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025.

Sue was born on January 31, 1947, in New York and grew up in Brownsville, Texas. She attended Texas A&I University (now Texas A&M, Kingsville), where she earned degrees in psychology and sociology. It was there that Sue met the love of her life, Dean Beyer. After a brief but heartfelt courtship, they married in 1969 and shared a lifetime of devotion and companionship. Together, they raised two remarkable children in California, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and music.

Sue had a giving heart and a generous spirit that touched everyone she met. She shone brightest when serving others, whether through her delicious cooking, her thoughtful hospitality, or her kind and listening ear. In the 1980s, she owned and operated a catering business, bringing joy to countless gatherings with her warmth and culinary talents.

Classical music was the soundtrack of Sue’s life. Eine Kleine Nachtmusik was one of her favorite pieces. She loved learning, asking questions, and exploring the world with curiosity and humor. Sue’s quick wit, sass, and deep compassion made her a beloved role model to many nieces, nephews, and friends. Family and friendship were at the heart of everything she did.

Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dean; her parents, Vernon Klein and Mildred Singer; her half-brother, Vernon; and many beloved cats who brought her endless joy.

She is survived by her daughter, Starr (David) Nelson; her son, Aaron (Rose) Beyer; her cherished grandsons, Jordan Nelson, Dalin (Jocelyn) Nelson, Harrison Nelson, Gavin Beyer, and Hayden Beyer; her adored great-granddaughter, Eliana Nelson; and her precious cats, Leonardo and Benzo

A celebration of Sue’s life will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, Utah. A visitation will take place that morning from 9:30–10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest beside her sweetheart, Dean, at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park in Bluffdale, Utah.

Sue’s life was defined by love, laughter, and the joy of caring for others. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Guestbook/Condolences

Sue was so important in my life. From the time she knocked on my door when I was living in West Jordan doing Missionary work we formed a deep bond and she has been an important and impactful part of my life. She was always one of the first people I called for good news or bad as well as advice. She was one of my very best friends and as a single Mom she cared fof my two children and treated us wonderful...like family. I will cherish all of our memories, talks and advice that she gave me. I loved her so much. I know she is with Dean now and is happy.
