Funeral Service
Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, UtahFriday Dec 13, 2024 3:00 PM
Tamara "Tammy" Decker was born on March 12, 1959 in Huntington Park, California. She came into this world ambitious and full of life. Always doing, always moving. If there was action, she wanted to be right in the middle. In school, she loved to sing, dance and act in many plays. She was also in gymnastics and a cheerleader in high school. She met Kerry Robinson at the age of 16 in the summer of 1975 and they were married on January 3, 1976.
She graduated from Salt Lake Community College in 1991, and received her Barbering and Cosmetology degree.
They had their first child, Miranda Robinson on Dec. 28 1982. Their second child, Carson Robinson, was born on Dec. 28, 1987. Their third child, Colton Robinson was born on March 11, 1992.
Tammy loved music. Wherever she was, the music was on. One of her favorite things to do was drive and sing along to the radio.
She had a passion for life and loved being outside no matter where she was. Watching the sun rise and set. Watching the clouds roll by to point out all of the shapes and characters. Listening to the waves roll up on the ocean. Sitting in the woods just to hear the sounds of nature.
Tammy loved road trips and wanted to see the world. Often she would take the "short cut," but her children knew it was the scenic route. So they nicknamed them the "Tamara short cuts." Short cuts always added adventure, and they enjoyed them as much as she did.
She lived in many towns and cities around the West, including California, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada. She was always quick to make friends and everyone always remembered her and her fun personality. She knew how to have fun in any situation.
She met her second husband Warren Decker while living in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. They were married on October 10, 1997.
Her and her children moved back to Utah in 1998. She spent her later years caring for the elderly as an in-home caregiver. She enjoyed assisting those as they aged and enjoyed the many conversations and relationships she gained.
Tammy is survived by her children Miranda Robinson and Colton Robinson; and preceded in death by her son Carson Robinson, father Gilbert Cook, and mother Jerry Cook.

Guestbook/Condolences
Tamara we always had such great times together. You always made me feel special and loved. You will be greatly missed. Rest in Paradise and give Carson a big hug for me. Sending good vibrations to all the family and loved one during this difficult time.
Tamara, when I first met you in 1999, I instantly recognized your kind and gentle spirit. You opened your home to me and the rest of us and embraced us with warmth and understanding. You were a truly extraordinary, free-spirited soul who brightened the lives of everyone she encountered.
I'll always cherish the memories of Stevie Nicks and Heart playing in the background, a soundtrack to our countless conversations. You had an incredible ability to connect with troubled youth, offering guidance and support. You were more than just a friend; you were a second mother, and I'm eternally grateful for your love and care.
Your pride in Miranda, Carson, and Colton was evident in every word you spoke, and your love for them was unwavering. Though you've left us too soon, this isn't goodbye but rather "see you later." I know you and Carson are together now, reunited with the heart you lost.
Save me a seat and a glass of Cabernet. I'll join you down the road. Until then, ride off into the sunset with your infectious smile. I'll see you again, sooner than later.
With love and tears,
Love always: Mark C.
Godspeed, Tammy.
As you journey beyond this world, may the winds of heaven carry you gently home. Godspeed, dear friend, on this sacred path where pain fades and peace abounds. Your laughter, your love, and the vibrant song of your life remain etched in the hearts you touched. Though we grieve your absence, we rejoice in knowing you are free, walking in light, embraced by those who went before you. May your soul soar with the grace you lived by, finding eternal rest in the arms of divine love. Until we meet again, Tammy, Godspeed.
