1973 ~ 2025
Tara Davis, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, second mother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born August 14, 1973, in Hillsborough County, Florida, Tara was the cherished daughter of Lucille Madeleine Moore. As a child, Tara moved to Mississippi, where she fell in love with the warm breeze and beauty of the Gulf Coast—its spirit and charm remained with her always. She later moved to Utah and graduated from Cyprus High School in Magna in 1991.
In September 1997, Tara met the love of her life, Christopher Lynn Davis. Their connection was instant and enduring, and on June 17, 2000, they married—starting a beautiful life together filled with laughter, family, and unwavering love.
Tara was preceded in death by her beloved mother Lucille Madeleine Moore; grandparents Lynn and Dee Davis; Sherrill Zumwalt; her mother-in-law Kellee Davis; and a host of treasured fur babies who were dearly loved and deeply missed. She is survived by her devoted husband, Christopher Davis and beloved dog Benny Blue; her siblings Henry Moore, Rosa Hollifield, Yvonne Mouton, Cheryl Harmes (husband Peter), Sean Moore (wife Carrie); and in-laws Brett and Michelle Davis, Tyler (wife Jenny Schwemmer),Britnee (husband Devin Grant), Misti Davis, Jamee Davis, Lilly Davis, Chantelle Davis, and Dakota Davis. To many, Tara was more than family—she was a second mother, especially to Bethany Taylor (husband Kenneth), Amy Poulsen (husband Cody), Timothy Mouton, (wife Lisa Mouton) Her legacy of love continues through her grandchildren Leo Taylor, and Gracie Taylor; and through the lives of many nieces and nephews: Noah, Grayson, Easton, Stetson, Oaklee, Bexlee, Kanyon, Kyla, Henry, Emma, William and Luci Baker (children Elena and Cora).
Tara was beloved by all who knew her. She had an unparalleled gift for making people feel at home. Her warmth, generosity, and extraordinary hosting skills turned every gathering into a place of joy, belonging, and love. She had a deep passion for reading—especially the works of Dean Koontz—and found joy and escape in the pages of his stories. Tara was also famously obsessed with the TV show Supernatural, lovingly referring to the Winchester brothers as “her boys.” Tara’s life was a testament to kindness, compassion, and unconditional love. She will be missed more than words can ever express, and her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched.

So sorry Christopher our prayers are with you guys love always Becky
I was the HR Generalist for Trulite Glass in SLC for the last year. I worked remotely, as I live in Tulsa, OK but every time I traveled to SLC Tara was my "go to". She was knowledgeable and knew the ins and outs of the plant and assisted me with any needs I had. She was dedicated and worked hard. She always called me "hon" and I adored her. My deepest condolences to her beloved family and friends.
I'm so sorry son. I'm sadder than you know. Tara was a big part of our lives and I will miss her very much. Always know that I'm here for you night or day. Love you very much Christopher Lynn Davis!
Some of my favorite giggly moments were shared with Tara out back on break. I will always remember how she came to work with wet hair fresh from her shower and a smile on her face every day. She was my work mom like she served a “mom” role to so many others. She made me feel looked after and it’s because she is someone who has always looked after others. The small moments in this life I was lucky enough to share with Tara were brief but impactful. Every time I bumped into her in life after I moved jobs was always a tickle, she is so loved and missed. Tara, I’ll always cringe when I hear people reference someone named ‘Tara’ and they say it the wrong way… because of course the way we say YOUR name is the right way, and my favorite pronunciation. 🖤
Sorry to learn of your loss. May she rest in peace.
