Thomas Lee Neff
Born: October 14, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah
Parents: Thomas Brinton and Alice May Wright Neff
Early Life and Education: Thomas Lee Neff grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from Olympus High School.
Military and Missionary Service: In July 1958, Thomas briefly served in the Army until November of that year. From 1960 to 1962, he served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Australia Sydney Mission.
Education and Career: Upon returning, Thomas attended the University of Utah, earning a degree in accounting and becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Family Life: In 1965, Thomas married Linda Geurts Neff in the Salt Lake City Temple. They raised a family together until their divorce in 2014. Linda preceded Thomas in death on June 11, 2022.
Later in life, Thomas found love again and married Janette Dallinga on June 9, 2017.
Church Service: Throughout his life, Thomas served in many callings within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, always remaining a devoted husband, father, and active church member. Thomas and Janette served a 1 ½ year mission at Heber Valley Girls Camp.
Legacy: Thomas deeply loved his family and is survived by his wife Janette Neff; his brother Ted (Linda); and his children: Scott (Marlene), Lee (Kiersten), Mike, Merilee (Dee) Lienert, Dan (Tami), and grandchildren (9). Step Children: Jann Ballif, Rick Treasure, Marty Treasure, Jason Treasure, and Elene Hess, and grandchildren.
He passed away on December 30, 2025. Thomas’s life was marked by unwavering faith, love for his family, integrity, and dedication to serving others. We want to thank The Auberge at North Ogden staff for taking great care of Tom.
A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 12:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E 1300 S, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held the night prior, January 5, 2026 at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E 1300 S, Salt Lake City, Utah from 6:00-8:00 pm. A viewing will also be held one prior to the service.
