Listen to Obituary

Trudy Tucker Stokes Bullett quietly passed on March 15, 2026 from cancer. She was not in pain and was surrounded by loved ones. Trudy was a wonderful mother, wife, artist, cosmetologist and life-long friend to so many. Her family benefitted from her haircuts, cooking, jewelry creations, knit scrubbers, warm handmade slippers and a lifetime of beautiful paintings of children, grandchildren, landscapes, pets and most recently a commissioned work of the Eiffel Tower. She was such a talented artist and creator and felt most invigorated when creating and painting.

At 84 years old she felt very at peace with her life and decided not to fight the inoperable cancer. Her last months were spent having friends and family visit and share fond memories and precious moments together. She will be missed! She is preceded in death by her first husband Roger Kent Cash Stokes, two grandsons–Jordan and Austin Stokes (Scot), and her siblings–Bob Tucker and Diane O’Brien. She is survived by her spouse Mike Bullett, daughter Traci (Chris) Atkin, and sons Scot (Heidi) Stokes, Kent (Lisa) Stokes, Tyson (Tamara) Stokes, and innumerable friends, her poker pals, beloved cousins and family members.

She and Roger started early and had four loving children, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. After living in Arizona and Montana they settled in Idaho Falls, Idaho and raised their family there for 20+ years. She graduated from cosmetology school at 32 years old and owned and operated several salons in Idaho Falls. Trudy desired a change and moved to St. George in 1995 and continued her cosmetology until she retired after 40 years at the age of 72. After being widowed by Roger in 2014, she sold the big house in St. George and started her final adventure in Salt Lake City. She met Mike Bullett at the Draper Senior Center and married him on March 29, 2019. Her and Mike loved to drive, cheer on the Utes, fight over politics and play poker with their friends each week. She mentioned often how very blessed she was to have Mike in her life until the very end.

Funeral services will be held on Friday March 20, 2026 at Larkin Sunset Gardens located at 1950 E Dimple Dell Rd, Sandy, UT 84092. Viewing will begin at 10 AM and the funeral program will follow at 11 AM.

We met Trudy through Mike and watching our dog as we traveled every March to Mexico. Asked them to join us but Trudy reluctant because of distance.... Our puppy loved the time spent with Mike, Trudy and Max (Bullets dog). Trudy was taken enough of T-Bone that she painted a beautiful portrait of him and gave to us in a Special Trip to our Mountain home in Colorado. We will miss her and our Sincere Condolences to Mike and her family. She was a Special Lady,...
