Dr. Robert LaVon Moody

1945 ~ 2015

Dr. Robert LaVon Moody, Husband, Father and owner and Clinical Director of Biorestoration Medical Clinic + Spa lost his life in a plane crash on January 9, 2015. Dr. Moody was an avid pilot; he lost his life doing something he truly loved, flying. He was a youthful 69 years old. Dr. Robert LaVon Moody was born March 19th in Mesa, AZ. He was born to Bruce and LaRee Richardson Moody. He was one of seven children. Dr. Moody called many places home as a child including; Mesa, Prescott, Chino, CA, and Santa Monica, CA.

Dr. Moody served in the LDS Central British Mission from 1964 to 1966. In 1966, he joined the Air National Guard as an Aero Medic after he said in jest \"Uncle Sam sent me his greeting.\" He also served in the Vietnam War including assignments in Texas and also Hawaii where he completed several flight missions to pick up wounded soldiers and bring them home.

Dr. Moody was a continuous student of life and education. He received a Bachelor\s Degree in Biology and Microbiology from Arizona State University. Member of the A4M, a society of physicians and scientists dedicated to enhancing the quality and extending the length of the human lifespan. Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Board Certified in Family Practice and Osteopathics. Board Certified, American Association of Physician Specialists. Board Certified, Arizona, Osteopathic Examiners in Medicine and Surgery. Board Certified, National Board of Examiners, Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. Bachelor of Science, Biology, Board Certified in Family Medicine and Family Practice, Certified in Plastic Surgery.

He married Sally Anna Randall on June 20, 1968, they were later divorced. Together they had six children; Melanie Ann Henstrom, Kimberly Lynee Smith, Daniel Jason Moody, Matthew Dell Moody, Caroline Jane Welsh, David Lee Moody. On March 5, 2005 He married Stacey McClannan. Stacey has two daughters; Lexi and Tori, he loved and raised them as his own.

Dr. Moody\s passion was medicine. While residing in Kansas, he was the team doctor for the Kansas City Chiefs. He also taught seminary there. He practiced in Phoenix, AZ for several years. He later moved to Utah where he served as the Director for Comprehensive Clinic of Family Medicine. In 2004 he founded Biorestoration Medical Spa + Spa where he served as Clinical Director until his recent passing. Dr. Moody was adored by many including his patients, colleagues and staff. His passion in life was helping his patients by improving their lives and overall health through innovative medicine. He assisted many patients through his long career in medicine. His practice included both local and national clientele.

In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Moody was an entrepreneur by nature. He owned several businesses including; ABCo. Mortgage Co., Excalibur Motor Car Co., and Antique Shop. He was a modern day renaissance man. He was an avid Elvis fan and Elvis impersonator. He was a gifted musician, a poet and a writer. He delighted others constantly with serenades on piano and guitar. He was very active person; he loved golf, skiing, tennis and flying the beautiful skies of Utah in his airplane. He loved nice cars, collecting planes and fixing up homes. Dr. Moody also had a deep love for politics, he was a passionate Conservative. Above all, his favorite pastime was spending every minute he could with the love of his life Stacey, his children and grandchildren. He had a profound and deep love for his family and the Lord. Dr. Robert Moody will be sorely missed; words can never express how much he was loved by all who knew him. The world will never be the same. He was incredibly unique in so many ways. Dr. Robert Moody, truly was his brother\s keeper; he practiced the healer\s art, helping the wounded and the weary, he showed us all his gentle heart.

Dr. Moody is survived by his wife Stacey, her two daughters Lexi and Tori. His children; Melanie Ann Henstrom, Kimberly Lynee Smith, Daniel Jason Moody, Matthew Dell Moody, Caroline Jane Welsh, David Lee Moody. He is also survived by his mother LaRee Richardson Moody, siblings; Marilyn Moody Brown, Linda Goodman, Susan McMullin, Junetta Moody, Larry Delwyn Moody, Joseph Wayne Moody.

The Memorial Service is set for Sat. Jan 17th at 11:00 am at the Granite View Stake Center which is located at 9880 South 3100 East Sandy, UT 84092. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to: Moody Memorial at Mountain America Credit Union.
