A wonderful, beautiful, and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to all passed away at the University of Utah hospital on Monday, August 12, 2024

Virginia was born August 22, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Clifford Robert Moser and Alice Galliher. She graduated from West High School in 1961. In 1962 she went to visit family in Los Angeles, California, where she met (at a beach party) her future husband and eternal companion, Paul Clare Cutrer. Upon Paul’s return from a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they were married on September 10th, 1966, in the Los Angeles California Temple.

Virginia was a faithful servant of the Lord, and magnified every calling she was asked to serve in. She and Paul served as missionaries at the Hill Cumorah Pageant in 2010, and Spanish speaking City Project mission from 2010 to 2013. (she still doesn’t speak Spanish, but loved every second of it)

She worked as an executive assistant for many years until she was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a mother and starting a family by being able to adopt Becky in 1971, Paul in 1975, and Julianne in 1979.

Virginia is survived by her children: Becky Cutrer, Paul Thomas (Edith) Cutrer and Julianne (Matthew) Nash, grandchildren: Shawn McDermott, Britny (Tyler) Woodhead, Jessica McDermott, Jordan (Janommys) Cutrer, Mason Cutrer, Reyna Cutrer, Chandler Cutrer, Lukas, Lily, and Dean Jordan, Maddie, Zoe, and Milla Nash, great-grandchildren: Kilo, Marshall, Hudson Woodhead, and Jaydence McDermott, sister-in-law: Janet (Jay) Todd, brother in law: Jefferson (Valerie) Cutrer, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends, also her ward families: Northpoint 14th, Granite 2nd, Northpoint 3rd and Northpoint 2nd.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Clare Cutrer, grandson Cameron McDermott, her parents, sisters and brothers.

Viewing to be held on Friday August 23, 2024, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah from 6-8 pm and Saturday August 24, 2024, from 10-10:45 am. Funeral services will be held at 11 am.

Virginia was an angel. I only got to know her by driving her to the Senior Center which she attended. She liked to go on drives so we would drop all the others off before I took her home. She was a very loving person. She will truly be missed.

Julian and Family;
I write for all of us at Rivers Bend Seniors Center. We loved your dear mother with all our hearts.
She was such a joy and so precious to us. Allways laghing, a great big smile. So soft spoken and kind to all she met. She never met a stranger. She loved HUGS! We loved the stories of your family that she told in the writing class. The fun she had speaking spanish in the spanish class. She excercised in three excercise classes: the erobics clss, the U of U class &, the Tai Chi class. She was allways joinning in and cellebrating life! We so loved her! We dearly loved her! We will dearly MISS HER!

I met Paul and Virgina near my home as we were both looking at a machine tool for sale. They were first there and did purchase the machine. After Paul had graduated, Virginia was at a Stake Dinner and Dance where I asked Virgina would dance by me pushing her around the floor to the music. We both had fun. Her 3rd ward split into the 1st and 2nd wards. She became part of my 1st ward, and I was assigned to her as a ministering Elder. I did my best to be numbered among many who helped in her needs. I got to know her grandsons Lucas and Dean. I also enjoyed her small weak smile Sunday night after she took of the Sacrament and heard a Scripture, we read to her a second time, upon her request. (Book of Mormon 1 Nephi 3: 5-7 doing what the Lord has commanded). IN HER JOYFUL SMILE, RIP
