Wesley Jay Fisher, age 71, passed away at home on August 29, 2025. He was born on March 5, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Eugene L. and Norma L. Fisher.
Wes married his high school sweetheart, Vonnie, and she was the love of his life. They never wanted to be apart and are surely overjoyed to be reunited. Together they had two sons.
Wes was affiliated with Search & Rescue and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. He enjoyed spending time with his son Gene, loved hunting and loved to go to Bear World. He also loved to go on cruises with his bride. He was a career handyman and painter and could fix all kinds of things. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Wes had the gift of gab and could carry a conversation with anyone. He had a great love for his dogs, particularly Sweet Pea and Cuddles.
Wes is survived by his siblings Vicky (Lance) Foster, Betty (Rick) Rice, Deena (Frank) Siler, Daron (Maureen) Fisher, and Annie (Michael) Rose, as well as several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved spouse Ina L. (Vonnie) Fisher, son Eugene L. Fisher, parents Eugene and Norma Fisher, brothers Randy L. Fisher, L. Scott Fisher, and M. Kevin Fisher, sister Shery J. Fisher, and many loved dogs! Wesley loved you all and was very grateful to have you in his life.
Thank you to Keith Lever and family for your love and devotion you have shared to Wesley. The family would like to thank the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for all their help and support. Thank you Hospice of Utah for all the compassion, care, and unwavering love you showed to Wesley. Sara and Laura and Archie, thank you for showing the true meaning of love and patience to Wesley.
Rest in peace, brother and friend.
