Megan Long is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and has worked in funeral service since March of 2020. She graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in English education and completed mortuary school at Salt Lake Community College, where she now teaches as an adjunct professor in the mortuary science department. Megan believes that every person deserves dignity in death and she strives to help families honor their loved ones in a way that is personal and cathartic. She feels strongly that much of the anxiety around death and dying can be mitigated through education about each step of the funeral planning process and the many different options available to families. Outside of work, Megan enjoys reading, puzzles, dragging her husband along on hikes, and collecting art of all sorts.
