Brian was born and raised in South Dakota. After college, in the shadow of Mt. Rushmore, he moved to northern California and worked in retail for many years as a manager at both Macy’s and Office Depot. He was then given the opportunity to go to Mortuary college in Sacramento, CA, and did his apprenticeship at a mortuary in Petaluma CA. Upon graduating from American River College, he continued to work at Parent Sorensen Mortuary for over 10 years as a Funeral Director/Embalmer.
Brian has been married to his wonderful wife Candi for over 25 years and together they have one daughter, Kaylee. In March of 2013, his family moved to Farmington, UT to begin work at Larkin Mortuary in Salt Lake City. Brian has been the manager of the Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy and has been the manager at Larkin Sunset Lawn since 2017. He feels it a great honor and privilege to serve the wonderful families in the Northern Utah area. He has made many great friends over the past few years while helping families through the difficult time of the loss of a loved one. His personal commitment is to do more than his very best with each family that he is blessed to serve.
