Nick Larkin, CFSP - Larkin Mortuary Staff Profile

Nick was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Robert A. Jr. and Robyn Jensen Larkin. He is a sixth-generation funeral director and has been working in the family business since 2001. Nick graduated from Highland High School in 2004 and in 2013 graduated from American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service with his Mortuary Science Degree.

Nick has displayed many talents within the family business. His career began with caring for the mortuary’s fleet of vehicles and helping on funeral services. He has worked in many of the different companies of Larkin such as The Rose Shop, Rocky Mountain Monument and Vault, and Le Jardin Event Center. Nick has managed 3 of the 4 mortuary locations as well as the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery and currently serves as the Executive Secretary of Larkin Mortuary.

Nick has many years of experience working closely with families, helping to guide them through the journey of celebrating and remembering the life of their loved ones. He has always had a love of serving others and developed a passion for this industry after experiencing the deaths of a very close friend and that of his own daughter. He understands the grief that losing a loved one can bring about and is dedicated to helping others through this delicate time.

Nick married the love of his life Melissa Sharples and together they have 6 children, 2 boys and 4 girls. He is a devoted member of his faith and enjoys serving in the callings which he has held and currently holds. For fun he enjoys camping with family and friends, participating in the sport of airsoft and being able to spend as much time with family as possible.

Nick looks forward to the many endeavors ahead of him and finds satisfaction in contributing to the family business and building community relations. He takes pride in the care and respect that his family has offered to the community for the last 135 years and is committed to carrying on this legacy.
