Tara Thompson-Sheppick

1983 ~ 2013

Tara Thompson-Sheppick, 29, passed away August 10, 2013, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Tara was something different to everyone she knew. She started out life as a daughter and little sister. She was born August 25, 1983 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Rodney and Cathy Thompson. She had two older brothers, Nathan and Adam Wright who adored and spoiled her.

Next she was a student where she graduated from Riverton High School and went on to earn her degree in nursing.

On September 15, 2005 she became a wife and step mother. She married Paul David Sheppick in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends. She also gained a darling step daughter, Taylor Sheppick, that she loved like her own daughter.

In July 2006 Tara and Paul welcomed their son Asher into the family. He was her pride and joy, and her "mini me". Tara was an amazing mother and loved her kids more than anything in the world.

Throughout her life, with her easy smile and quick wit, she made friends everywhere she went. She had a quirky sense of humor, with bad puns, one liners and obscure movie quotes being her specialty. You could not have a "bad day", be grumpy, or mope while she was around. She simply would not allow it. She would become Grandpa Pork Chop, or Taradactyl and she would soon have you smiling and laughing. She loved camping, big ass earrings, sleeping late and spending time with family and friends.

She was working at Spring Creek Healthcare where she was dearly loved by the residents and her fellow employees.

Preceded in death by her father Rodney Thompson, brother Adam Wright, grandmother Shirley Blanchard and grandfather Lawrence Thompson.

Survived by husband Paul Sheppick, son Asher Sheppick, mother Cathy (Mark Backus) Thompson , brother Nathan (Jessica) Wright, step-daughter Taylor Sheppick.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1950 East at 11 am. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service.

Taradactyl, we know you, Adam and Rod are rocking the gates of heaven. We will see you again, "in the blink of an eye".
