Janice S. Pearson

1945 ~ 2018

Janice S. Pearson, age 73, passed away at home in Riverton, Utah while holding the hand of her sweetheart on September 4, 2018. Jan was born on March 5, 1945 in Redwing, MN to Carl W. and Myrtle K. Steele. She was raised in Murray, Utah and met the love of her life, Ken, at 15 years old on a blind date, introduced by their best friends. They married three years later and were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Their many adventures together included the Silver Spurs Riding Club, many beloved animals, raising six children, and partnering in a successful business. Jan and Ken lived a life of service including various political and charitable organizations, working with youth, years of temple work, and serving two missions. The wonderful friends and neighbors that they met along the way, including the members of the Riverton 5th ward, were much loved and appreciated in their lives. Jan and Ken created a rich and beautiful life and a love story that will continue into eternity.

Jan is survived by her husband, A. Kenneth Pearson, and children Joani (Brett) Cook, Bryan Pearson, Daniel (Monica) Pearson, Angela (Lorin) Hardy, Steven Pearson, James Pearson and many grandchildren and great grandchildren who love her dearly.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Riverton 5th Ward, 1855 West 13400 South, Riverton, UT. Friends and family may call Friday, September 7 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. before the service at the church. Interment will be at Riverton City Cemetery.
