Loran Dale Webb

1933 ~ 2018

Dale passed away in South Jordan, UT on October 3, 2018 from pneumonia brought on by complications from inclusion body myositis (IBM). He was born on December 31, 1933 at 11:30 p.m. in Twin Falls, ID to Carrol and Ruby Olafsen-Pulsipher Webb. He graduated from South Cache High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from BYU. Dale served in the US Army during the Korean War.

He married Renee Holton on April 14, 1955 in Provo UT. They were later sealed on November 23, 1955 in the Logan Temple and created a loving home together for 63 years. Dale retired from IBM after 27 years as a Test Engineer. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His Church service included 42 years as a Ward and Finance Clerk and 18+ years as a Temple Ordinance Worker. Dale and Renee served a Temple Mission in Nauvoo, IL. Dale was a HAM radio operator. He passed the test and earned his advanced license. Dale loved animals and gardening.

Dale was a kind and gentle man. He was a wonderful and remarkable husband, patient and dedicated father and an obedient and attentive son. He was a terrific grandfather and great grandfather. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Renee, 3 sons, Terry (Anita), Richard (Kelley) and Stephen (Emily), 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, brother Wayne, niece Michelle and brother-in-law Frank Nilson. Preceded in death by his parents and 2 siblings, Nancy and Bill.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Crescent 21st Ward, 11570 South Wasatch Blvd., Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy and Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
