Steve Reynolds Harris

1940 ~ 2018

Steve Reynolds Harris was born February 22, 1940 in Salt Lake City to Fern Reynolds and Steve Harris. He passed away comfortably at his home in Cottonwood Heights on November 24, 2018 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Steve truly loved his family. He cherished visits from his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was married to Suzanne "Sara" Young Harris for 58 years. He worked closely with his daughter Stefani Moncur (Dean) and son Sean Harris (Hilary) for decades. He was "Grandpa" to Ryan (Laura), Tyler (Jessica), Jamie, Nick (Cachae), Davis and Mia. And "Papa-G" to 8 great-grandchildren.

As a child, Steve enjoyed playing baseball and collecting baseball cards. He ran around Salt Lake with many lifelong friends whom he saw almost daily until he became ill. In adulthood, he had a passion for all things cars. He loved to drive, race and sell them. Steve was successful in the car business for over 50 years. In 1977, he opened Steve Harris Imports. He owned and operated this local icon for 36 years until his retirement in 2013. "The Greek" loved to hate the game of golf and was a member of Alpine Country Club. He also loved to fish, play cards with friends and spend time with his family. Steve and Suzanne, along with family and friends, traveled the world for business, golf and fishing.

Steve's parents, son Steve James, siblings and many close friends preceded him in death.
