June Boyce Reese

1924 ~ 2016

June Boyce Reese- June Davis Boyce Reese Humpherys, 91 of Lehi, Utah passed away peacefully at her granddaughter's home on February 4, 2016, surrounded by family. June was born June 21, 1924 in Oxford, Idaho, to Maude Davis and Leander Myron Merrick Boyce.

June married A. Ray Reese on February 6, 1946; they were sealed two years later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with two sons and three daughters. Ray passed away in 1994. June later married Reed Humpherys April 18, 1998. They enjoyed a sweet companionship until his passing in 2009.

June was a hard worker in her many different endeavors. She attended school in Oxford, ID. She left school early and went to work at the naval yard in Portland, OR for a time and then went to Fort Seal, OK to be a Nanny. Upon returning home she met and married Ray where they farmed for many years in Grays Lake and Leslie, ID. They also lived in Soda Springs and Montpelier, ID. Not long after they moved to Brigham City, UT where they lived for 32 years. During that time she worked as a nurses aide at the Tremonton Hospital, a seamstress and shipping clerk at Brigham Apparel, and then at Thiokol where she retired. During retirement they traveled frequently and moved to Rainier, WA. After Ray's death June lived in Grays Lake, ID, Elko, NV, and most recently Lehi, UT.

June was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a strong testimony of Christ. She and her husband Ray enjoyed serving in the Bacolod, Philippines mission. After their mission they served as ordinance workers in the Seattle LDS Temple.

June loved gardening and admired the birds that were attracted to her garden. She also enjoyed ceramics, traveling, crocheting, dancing, and raising and showing Appaloosa horses.

June's family was the joy of her life. The many facets of June's personality included wittiness, spunky attitude, contagious laugh, and sternness. All enjoyed her talent of yodeling. She had a big heart and always had a hug for everyone. She devoted her life to her soul mate Ray and everything that encompassed.

She is survived by her children, LeRay (Patsy) Reese, Elko, NV; Leona (Lauren) Robertson, Smithfield, UT; Larry (Mona) Reese, Rainier, WA; Louise (Richard) Nielsen, Nibley, UT; son-in-law Randy Gibbs, Preston, ID; twenty three grandchildren; eighty one great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; brother James D.
