Helen Caiani

1922 ~ 2016

Helen Caiani, 94, of Hopkinton, MA (formerly of Salt Lake City, Utah) passed away peacefully September 3. Born in Wakefield, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Dioguardi) Caiani.

Helen was a 1940 graduate of Wakefield High School and worked for New England Power (Eversource). After moving to Salt Lake City, Utah, she worked for Questar Gas (MountainFuel Supply). She loved dogs, gardening, cooking, sewing, and cake decorating. She traveled to Hawaii, Alaska, and Italy, and other locations. Helen was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City, where she taught primary and worked in the library. After returning to Massachusetts, Helen resided at Golden Pond Assisted Living in Hopkinton, making new friends, painting, and enjoying visits with family and old friends.

She was the sister of the late Josephine (Caiani) Elliott and Biago (Bill) Caiani. She was the aunt of Ernest Elliott and his wife Cathy, Sandra Story and her husband Lynn, Lawrence Elliott and his wife C.J. Lori, Angelo Caiani and his wife Carol, and Mary (Caiani) Sheahan. She is also survived by many grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service in the Larkin Sunset Lawn 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City Utah, on Saturday, September 10th at 2 PM. Visitation for relatives and friends at the Larkin Sunset Lawn September 9th 6-8PM, and from 12:45-1:45 prior to service.
