Ned was born November 15th, 1935 in North Platte Nebraska to Archie Vernon Combs and Beama Bryan. He married Joan Larsen January 26th, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. Ned was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many capacities in the church including Bishop of the Holladay 6th Ward where he was adored by the youth he served. He later served as Stake President of the Olympus Stake and currently as Stake Patriarch. Ned spent many years as a Temple worker, recorder and sealer in the Salt Lake Temple. He loved all of his callings but sealing families for eternity brought him the greatest joy. He loved all those he served with. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was employed by Continental Thrift and Loan, Capital City Bank, Bank One, retiring from J.P. Morgan Chase in 2003. He also worked for Honda of Salt Lake and loved to ride motorcycles in his younger days.

He is preceded in death by his eternal companion Joan, his parents Archie and Beama Combs, his sister Ada McConnell, and his brother Vernon. The family thanks all ER and ICU staff at LDS Hospital who cared for him tirelessly.
