Glenn Junior Johnson was released from his mortal pains while in his sleep Saturday March 5, 2016. He was born to Glenn and Virginia Johnson on February 8, 1939 in Union, Utah. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1957 and joined the US Army Reserve and was honorably discharged after his service.
He married Beverly Ann Walles on June 30, 1958; later divorced. He married Cora Marie Carlson on November 10, 1986.
Glenn worked for Mountain Bell then A T and T and as an independent telephone installer and repairman for 42 years. Glenn was an avid outdoorsman who loved to camp, fish and hunt. He loved collecting, bowling and gardening.
Glenn is survived by his wife Cora; 1st wife Beverly and children from his first marriage, Mike Johnson (Debbie), Sandy (Hal Rushton), Kelly Johnson, Jay Johnson. His step children are Patricia (Robert Worthington), Kathleen (Chuck Woods), Anne (Mike Perez), Roberta (Steve Rickett), Robert Watson (Jill). Also survived by 31 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, brothers William Johnson, Ronald Johnson and sister Sherrie Crew.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Marjorie Martinez and daughter Vicki Layman.
Viewing and Funeral Services will be held at the LDS Ward House located at 700 East and 7500 South. The viewing will be held Friday night 3/11/2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be a viewing at 10:00 AM on Saturday with the funeral starting at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy, Utah.
