My most loving, caring, generous, and amazing soul mate passed away March 22, 2019 of a massive heart attack. Born December 13, 1951 to Dhorus "Ted" Davis and Mildred Maxine Christensen Davis.
He graduated from Granger High class of 1970, then attended the University of Utah and received the Tau Beta Pi, and at Washington University where he received his Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering. He worked at a nuclear power plant in Washington State. Hercules, A.T.K in both Utah and West Virginia for a total of 28 years helped in designing the Titan, Patriot missiles.
He was actually a "Rocket Scientist". From 2006-2014 at Deseret Chemical in Stockton, Utah.
He was an avid "Rock Hound" and faceted most of his finds into beautiful jewelry. He loved the outdoors like fishing and hiking. One thing he always looked forward to every year was the family camping trips we had together.
He is survived by his soul mate and loving wife, Donna Richins Davis "Cutie", daughter from his first marriage Stephanie Davis, his loving and caring daughter Melanee Maxine Davis as well as being an amazing father, to the children he loved dearly Dameon (Laurel) Jones, Mikkel (Chris) Williams, Christopher (Holly) Jones, Daniellè Matson, Laura (Phillip) Knighton, Kevin (Ashlee) Jones. Also survived by his 21 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter, and his kitty Rohan who he nicknamed "Squeaky"
Preceded in death by his parents, his children Matthew Davis, Allison Davis and Rustin Ryan Jones.
Everyone "Lick a Rock" for #42. We love you so much Grumpy, your love and kindness will grace generations for years.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 beginning at 2 PM at the Larkin Mortuary ‚ Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South in Riverton. A viewing will be held prior to services beginning at Noon. Interment to follow services at West Jordan City Cemetery.
His legacy will live on with the gift of life to those blessed by his organ donations.
