William H. Stirling passed away peacefully Oct. 6, 2017. He was 84 years old. Those who knew William, knew him as Bill, Railroad Bill and Wild Bill. He was extremely independent and enthusiastic about life and enjoyed going out daily to see his friends, drink coffee and tell stories. He was a strong willed man and will be missed dearly.
He was a very proud Marine who served his country. Railroad Bill earned his name working for the Union Pacific Railroad all of his working days. He was a strong member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 35 years. We would like to thank the Veterans Hospital for taking care of William. You brought him peace and comfort in his life.
A visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 16 from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N St., Salt Lake City, Utah.
