As a young lady, in Tonga, she raised her nephew since he was a newborn baby, as her very own child. She named him Timote Masima Jr., after her late father. This baby was her pride and joy, she spoiled him and was very protective of him. Vea Toki, made sure nobody laid a finger on him.

As she became a young woman she was not only known for her gracious beauty, and charm, but her outgoing personality, and her great sense of humor. It is no coincidence she is caught the eye of the man of her dreams, her best friend and husband Mikaele Tukulolo Tenifa. They met at dance gatherings, and she knew he was the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life and eternity with.

They moved to American Samoa, where they joined hands in marriage. Her husband managed a construction company there, where they lived and had their two first born children. Oldest son Sione Manuhekina Tenifa, second oldest daughter Barbara Asena Tenifa. Years after they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in the 1970's. They welcomed their third oldest son Lawrence Anthony Tenifa, Son Vaiola Mataele Tenifa, daughter Amelia Fapiola Tenifa, and youngest son Tukulolo Mikaele Tenifa.

She was a devoted, hardworking, selfless, loving wife, Mother and Grandmother who would do anything for her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren meant everything to her. She was a great woman to her community and always provided service to others especially cooking for Liberty 3rd Ward, Highland High Football, and countless other functions. She served in many church callings and was always a comfort to everyone in need. She immediately made you feel comfortable and we all knew she loved us. She will be missed greatly.
