Janet Sumie Shiratori passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 8th, 2014. She was born on February 1, 1917 in Puunene, Maui, Hawaii to Owari and Yuhei Shino. She was married to Harold Keiichi Shiratori on March 19th, 1939 at the Shinto Daijingu Temple of Lahaina in Maui, Hawaii.
Janet was involved in the UE club. She also participated in many of the senior citizen activities. She was a member of the Makawao Honganji Mission.
She is survived by daughter Aileen Ikeda (Joe), daughter Faye Shiratori (William), granddaughter Joleen Carter (Nathan), granddaughter Janeal Fonua (Joshua), grandson Jonathan Ikeda and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 12:00pm Saturday, October 11th at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple. Viewing will be from 11:00-11:45am. Interment will be at Maui Memorial Park in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii.
