Barbara (Bobi) Anne Bradley Meador 88, of Herriman, Utah, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 2, 2020, at her home.

Bobi was born on October 3, 1931, in Los Angeles, California, to Dallas John and Emma (Mona) Bradley. Her growing years she resided in Alhambra, California where She graduated from Alhambra High School. At age 19 on September 1, 1951, she married her sweetheart, Robert Harper Meador in Alhambra, later in 1960 being sealed to her family in the Los Angeles Temple. They were married 67 years before his death.
She was employed with Certified Grocers until expecting her twin boys. She had various part-time jobs as her children were grown, but her primary love was being a wife, mother, and homemaker.

Bobi had a talent of turning any place she lived into a beautiful home where all were welcome. She had an artistic talent and painted many tole painted pieces for family and friends. She loved many crafts including sewing, cross-stitching, needlepoint, and any craft of the day that included a glue gun. She brought much joy to others as she taught these crafts and shared her talents.

She was an avid genealogist, spending many, many hours working on family history, compiling quite a collection of records and adding many names to the family tree.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving as Primary president, both Stake and Ward, and many years in the Relief Society with various callings. She served in many ways whether it be a fundraiser, a potluck, or youth activities. Simply, quietly, continually serving. She and Bob served 2 full-time missions in Maryland and California.

She was a PTA president. She would be seen either in the stands at baseball games, or in seats of a theater supporting activities for both her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren looked forward to receiving birthday cards containing a $5 dollar bill, which she was diligent in sending, even in her advanced years.

Bobi loved her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were everything to her. She was loved by each one of them too. She felt their love and along with her husband watched their legacy unfold. They left a legacy of love and created a family that is close and unified.

Her husband, Robert, and sister, Marilyn Galloway, preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children; twin sons, Larry (Annette) Meador, Jerry (Beverly) Meador; daughter, Michele (Alfred) Carter; son, Roy (Celine) Meador, 22 Grandchildren and 69 Great Grandchildren.

Our Mom, Grandma, and, Grandma GG, as she was affectionately known by her greats, loved her dearly. We have been so blessed by her life upon this earth and feel very fortunate to have called her ours. She fiercely defended and loved each one of us.

As a family, we want to recognize everyone at Beehive Assisted Living in Herriman, Utah for the love they showed our Mother. The words “Thank You” do not seem enough to express our gratitude to all. Also to Arla, her hospice nurse who cared for her so kindly and graciously, our love to you.

A graveside service will be held at 12noon Saturday, May 16, 2020, at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy, Utah.

I’m so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you. Thank you so much for the opportunity and trust you gave me to know your mother and to help to provide care for her. She was such a sweet and funny lady. I enjoyed my time visiting with and caring for her very much.

Dearest Jerry, Larry, Melanie. My heart is with you all. Not far, but Corona keeps me away from the world. I am sorry for your loss but know the joy in heaven as a daughter of Heavenly Father returned home. Love Oddie Emerson.
