Carl LeRoy Wagner

1936 ~ 2017

Carl LeRoy Wagner, 80, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Born August 13, 1936 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Erich and Gertrude Wagner, Carl grew up in Canada until he came to the United States to attend college at Brigham Young University. While attending school he met Mary Francis Sharp, they were married in the Logan LDS Temple on September 13, 1963.

Carl and Mary are the parents of eight children. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Patricia (Chris) Cook, Paige (David) Bench, Lindsey (Jonathan) Hiller, sons Andy (Lori), Jason, Spencer (Deborah), Taylor (Emillie), 27 grandchildren and one great grandchild, sisters Ruth Parry, Janet Crowe, and brother Michael Wagner. Carl was preceded in death by his oldest son Jeffery Wagner (2002) and brother Gordon Wagner (2013).

Carl was a humble, kind and loving person. His greatest legacy is his family. Whenever you talked with him it would usually include a recent story about one of his kids or grandchildren ‚ he took great pride in each of them. Carl always helped those in need and was a great example of Christ-like love and service.

A special thanks to his nurse Scott and the team at Brighton Home Care and Hospice for their loving care and support.
