Ned K Timothy

1943 ~ 2015

Ned K Timothy passed away onSeptember 22, 2015in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Salt Lake on November 7, 1943 to Fern and Doyle Timothy and was the 3rd of four sons: Doyle (Jo), Dick (Colleen) and Byron (Tamera).Ned served in the US Air Force from 1962-1965. He married Karen Gene David in the Salt Lake Temple on June 20, 1967 and together they had five children: Clint, Andrew, Nicole, Brett and Georgette. He graduated from Weber State University in 1972 with a degree in geology. After the passing of his wife Karen he married Joyce Elaine in the Draper temple on June 8, 2013.

Ned was happiest during the month of October when he went hunting with his father, brothers, sons and grandson Bryson. He spent countless days and weeks camping and fishing with his family in Yellowstone Canyon. He also enjoyed trips with the Tibbitts family to look for fossils.

Ned was known as a very hard worker and Mr. Fix-It. He was often called on to help others fix broken cars and find solutions to problems big and small. Ned\s sense of humor was legendary, he loved to laugh and found humor in everything.

Serving in the LDS church brought him joy and purpose. He had a strong testimony of the restored gospel and of his Savior. He honored his priesthood and looked for opportunities to serve everyone he met.

Ned is survived by his loving spouse Joyce Elaine Porter (My Joyce), his children Clint (Emily), Nicole (Justin), Brett (Camille), Georgette (Zac), and eight grandchildren who could do no wrong: Jessica (13), Emma (13), Haylie (11), Kylee (10), Bryson (9), Pratt (8), Eddie (5), and Sadie (3). He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Karen (KB), baby son Andrew and parents Fern and Doyle Timothy.

The family would like to thank Joelle and all the healthcare professionals for their care, support and kindness.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 11:00am at the Crescent Ridge 5th Ward, 11164 S Lononderry Dr (1515 E). A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6-8pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell (10600 S) in Sandy and Friday from 10-10:45am at the church prior to the service.
