Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Gae Marie Winter Duersch, age 92, returned home to her Father-in-Heaven, Sunday, March 6, 2016.
Born October 26, 1923, in Saint Anthony, Idaho to Leland and Melvina Winter. Married Edward James Duersch for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple February 15, 1946.
Our mother honorably served as a US Marine during World War II. Her outreach to her fellow man was deeply felt by those she served during her time as a nurse, her LDS mission, as a counselor at the Rape Crisis Center and at the American Fork Development Center. Her heart was open to all.
Survived by: sons and daughter; Win (Karen) Duersch, Marr (Mary) Duersch, Cory (Cathie) Duersch, Leisa (Michael) Finch, Kim (Susan) Duersch, Guy (Susan) Duersch; sister, Joyce Petersen; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, two sisters, one grandchild and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at 1:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 So.), where visitations will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm. Interment will be in Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
