Geraldine Frances Hendrickson Mayhew, age 91, was born in Salt Lake City, UT to Leonidas and Julia Frances Mark Hendrickson on May 30, 1922. She died in Bountiful, UT on August 6, 2013.
She met Lawrence Abbott Mayhew on a blind date and they were married on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1947. He died on June 23, 1992, leaving her alone for 21 years. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on May 18, 1951.
She graduated from East High and the University of Utah in business. She was one of the original employees of IBM in Salt Lake and also used her secretarial skills at Travelers Insurance and for Art Olsen, Architect.
After mom and dad retired they enjoyed several years of travel, along with using her skills in serving others by volunteering thousands of hours for the Humane Society and in the ward genealogy center.
She is survived by 2 children, Linda (Rock) Campbell and Thomas (Nancy) Mayhew; 5 grandchildren, Amy (Jeff) Wilkins, Mike (Megan) Mayhew, Celeste Mayhew, John Mayhew, Rick (Kelly) Larson; 9 great grandchildren, Jaxon, Kiyah, Christian, Claire, Kayden, Tyler, Gavin, Isabella and Lola. She is preceded in death by her parents and older brother and sister, Leonidas Glen Hendrickson and Ruth Evelyn Henrie.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2013, 12:00 Noon, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where friends and family may visit Friday evening from 6 to 8PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
