Mel passed away on January 6th, 2018 after a very short illness in Payson, Utah. He was born on April 4th, 1933 to Mildred Bertosh and Arthur Melbourne Jensen in Murray, Utah.
In 1953 Mel married his sweetheart Barbara Renee Lewis, they were always together until her passing in July of 2016. Mel loved spending time with his family, camping and fishing, where he enjoyed meeting friends along the way. He loved his neighbors dearly and his four legged companion Daisy, who he adopted after the passing of his wife.
Survived by his sons David Arthur and Ronald Allen; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and extended family. Preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sister Debbie.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) in Sandy. A viewing for family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the mortuary.
