Edward Owen Johnson passed away at home in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 28, 2013. Edward, known to family and friends as Ted, was born in Provo January 13, 1982 to Kiki Mulliner and Roy Johnson. He is survived by his parents; his siblings Kat, Gus, Seth, Gideon, Callie and Annie; his stepmother Milla Johnson; his loyal dog Hazel; and many dear aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ted was kind, talented and brave, with a keen interest in philosophy, mathematics and science. He relished debating life's complex questions, and those he spoke with came away wiser, challenged to see the world in new ways. His intellectual curiosity led him to specialize in medicine and mathematics, which he studied passionately.
Ted had a gentle spirit and loved with his whole heart. He was a giving son and brother who will be missed profoundly. He had a special gift with dogs and cared for animals with compassion.
After finishing high school in Salt Lake City, Ted worked and studied in Phoenix, AZ; Cedar City, UT; and New York City. He returned to Salt Lake in 2011.

Services will be held the afternoon of Friday, January 3 and are under the care of Larkin Mortuary.
