Fern passed away at the age of on February 9, 2014 at the age of 80, in Roseburg, Oregon. She was born May 30, 1933 in Vernal, Utah and was raised by Wanda and John P. Jensen.
She was the President of the Fort Douglas Club from 1981-1982 and loved golfing and playing bridge. Fern's other passion included traveling which consisted of her traveling all through Europe. Best of all, Fern was a most loving mother to her children.
Fern is survived by her children, Val and Kerry Abbott, her brother Dennis Jensen, grandson Daniel Abbott, granddaughter Chanelle Abbott, 3 nieces Linda Kearns, Kay Boldham, and Debbie Hutchinson, as well as her cousin Ralph Lewis.
A graveside service will be held to honor Fern's life at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.), Sandy, Utah.
