Pearl LaRee Beck Heilbut

1931 ~ 2018

Our beloved and precious Pearl; wife of Dick Heilbut, mother of five children, 24 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, August 12, 2018, at age 87. Pearl was the daughter of Earl Antrim and Ilene Prince Beck and raised in Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Pearl married the love of her life, Dick Heilbut, on March 6,1952, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their union was a beautiful and endearing love affair that spanned 71 years, which included five years of dating and waiting for her fiance to return from his LDS mission.

Pearl was as talented as a rock star. She was an accomplished musician who loved playing the drums as well as the piano and organ. Pearl was a proud High School Drum Majorette and later flourished as the drummer for her swing band, "The Heilinds." Her spunky, vivacious and dynamic personality was exemplified through performances featuring colorful wigs, jazzy clothes, jeweled accessories, especially anything blue, including her drum set and piano. She also loved the competitiveness of playing the game Rook and scoring grand slams.

Pearl had a spirited determination and drive throughout her life which led to her success as a legal secretary for Geneva Steel, Anaconda and Governor Scott Matheson. Pearl later moved to Fresno, California and became an influential entrepreneur and business woman for over 40 years with Avon Products. Pearl financially impacted and improved lives of literally thousands of Avon Representatives throughout the United States. She is a member of Avon's Hall of Fame and has earned hundreds of performance awards that are displayed in her home as an example of her amazing Avon career.

Pearl's legacy was her personal relationship and deep love of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She exemplified this through her love, care and devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family and friends. She will be remembered for her work ethic, unselfishness, generosity and love of Christ. She will be dearly missed and loved.
