Anneliese Burleigh

1926 ~ 2015

Anneliese Rosa Eibisch Burleigh passed away March 12, 2015 at the age of 89. She was born January 20, 1926 in HohensteinErnstthal, Saxony, Germany, the only child of Johannes Paul Erich Eibisch and Rosa Wally Mueller. Working at a PX in Telldorf, Germany at the end of WWII she met the love of her life Ivan Stanley Burleigh. They were married on June 7, 1947 in Evanston, Wyoming; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City temple March 30, 1964. They moved to Provo, Utah and lived there until dad graduated from BYU, then settled in Salt Lake City, Utah and lived in Murray, Utah for the rest of their lives. They were married for 62 years until Dad passed away April 3, 2010. Anneliese was a devout member of the LDS church and held many callings, her favorite of those were the positions she held in the Primary which included Teacher, Counselor, Primary President, and Stake Primary President. Anneliese and Ivan were blessed with and are survived by their 3 children, Michael (Shelley), Heidi, and Keith Burleigh, 3 grandchildren, Michelle Richards (deceased), Megan Cassidy, and McKenzie Burleigh and 2 great grandchildren, Madison Petersen and Payton Cassidy.

A viewing will be held March 16, 2015 9:30 ‚ 10:45 a.m. followed by a graveside service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
