Teresa Kay Beardall

1962 ~ 2018

October 4, 2018 Teresa Kay Beardall joined her father Mark Jex Beardall; her mother Virginia Melvina Prescott; sister Mary Annette Hendrickson; brother Eldon Jay Beardall and his wife Ann; and many extended family members in a heavenly "Beardall Reunion."

Raised in South Salt Lake, she graduated from Granite High School. After obtaining her bachelor's degree from Utah State University, she returned to South Salt Lake to teach elementary education in the Granite School District. She taught at Woodrow Wilson Elementary and Oquirrh Hills Elementary. During her career she earned her master's degree and also added an endorsement in gifted and talented education. Ms. Beardall was loved by her students and respected by her co-workers. After 30 years of teaching she retired in 2014.

Teresa loved her dogs, the outdoors, camping, reading and crafts. She was musically gifted and played the piano, guitar and accordion. She was a faithful, active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Family was very important to Teresa. Born on July 11, 1962, she was the youngest of 6 children. She never married but "mothered" her nieces and nephews and their children. Easter egg hunts, camping trips, craft projects, pop-up Christmas trees, Christmas Bingo, reading her favorite picture books and tone pipes are just a few of the memories she left them. She was a loving, giving and caring sister, aunt and friend as well as an attentive daughter who encouraged her mother through 27 years as a widow.

Mourning her passing are her oldest sister Nancy and her husband Phil; brother Larry; sister Marjean and her husband Byron; long-time friend Merlynn; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

We will gather to celebrate Teresa's life Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.), Sandy, UT 84092.
