William Lee Horrocks

1925 ~ 2016

William was born April 8, 1925 to William Lee and Arilla Lee Horrocks in Wapello, Idaho. He passed away October 8, 2016 in South Jordan Utah. He was the youngest of 7 children. He met Mary Weekes, his queen, while serving in Burtonwood, England during WWII. They married in 1947 and together they had 4 children.

William served in the Utah Air National Guard for 39 years attaining the rank of Senior Special Master Sargent. He loved golfing, fishing, boating and touring with his wife. For 15 years they were snowbirds and took their motorhome someplace warm. He was very mechanically inclined and loved to build things. He built his own boat and restored his Corvair.

We remember vacationing every summer with the big green tent, fishing, visiting with our aunts, uncles and cousins. Dad was a very kind, gentle and big hearted man. Everybody loved our Dad and he will be missed by all. We love you DAD!

He is survived by his children Denise (Wayne) Eggers, Debbie Maestas and Bret Horrocks, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his queen Mary, daughter Sandra, grandsons Christopher and Nicholis Maestas and Jake Horrocks.

We would like to thank Legacy Retirement, Aspire Hospice, Utah Cancer Institute and Caring Senior Service of Wasatch for their great care of our Dad.
