Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Judi Thomas Sorensen, returned to her heavenly home on February 12, 2018.
Judi was born November 20, 1947 to Arthur and Alice Thomas in Salt Lake City Utah. She adored her older brother Bill, and her childhood in downtown Salt Lake. She enjoyed sharing memories with those she loved. She married Dennis Sorensen in the Salt Lake Temple on September 20, 1972, and together they had 3 wonderful children. She enjoyed traveling with her family, whether it was around the country, or local Sunday drives. She was a devoted grandmother, and welcomed any opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren.
She was a devoted member of the LDS faith, and served in many callings throughout her life. One of the most memorable was as a missionary for the addiction recovery program. She loved her time there and made so many lifelong friends.
She is survived by her husband Dennis; children Chris (Mandy), Jeremy (Alisha), Toni/Alicia (Alysea); and 8 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, with whom she has now been joyously reunited.
Friends may call upon the family at a viewing on Friday, February 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 17th at 1:00 PM at Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N Street, Salt Lake City.
