Florita Magalei McFarland passed away on April 23, 2017 at 7:37 am in her home in N Salt Lake, Utah from Leukemia.
Florita was born in Faleniu, American Samoa and raised in Laie, Hawaii. Her family later moved to Los Angeles, California where she lived most of her adult life. In 2007 Florita made Utah her home.
Florita is survived by her husband, Grenville McFarland; 3 daughters, Audra Atuatasi, Leleao Brandee Toa, Eidelweis Sasa; Stepson, Bernard McFarland; mother, Katie Magalei; siblings, Jeanne and Theo McFarland, Stella Leiataua, Marvin and Janeal Magalei, Hulda and Faigata Tulau, Alberta and Malele Tiedermann and 9 grandchildren Dale, Muavae III, Sinta, Makeila, Aperila, Henrietta, Reupena, Monalisaleilani and SinaRose.
Bishops service will be on Saturday, May 6th @ 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Vaiola Ward, 55 East 350 North, N. Salt Lake, Utah 84054
Following will be the burial at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092
