Karen Rose Denhalter, 77, first of four children born to Robert Keith and Beverly Rose Denhalter on the day after Valentine's Day, February 15, 1940. Karen passed away peacefully at IMC surrounded by her loved ones on January 28, 2018 into the welcoming arms of her mom and dad. Karen's life was filled with giving to others, hauling nieces and nephews to Lagoon, Chucky Cheese and many movies. The last years of Karen's life revolved around her friends at Victoria Woods ‚ calling bingo, delivering birthday cards, welcoming new residents and trips to Wendover. Karen was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church where she had many friends especially Pastor James. Karen enjoyed attending the Utes basketball and football games with her dear friend Roberta.
Survived by: Brother Gary/Chris Denhalter, Brother Kim/Fran Denhalter, Sister Jodie Simons, Nephews: Brett/Crystal Denhalter, Kolt/Courtney Denhalter, Kolby/Brittney Denhalter. Nieces: Tonia/Olie Olson, Codi/Andy Munford, Lindsey/Brandon Bushman and many grand and great grand nephews and nieces all of which she adored. The family would like to thank the ICU staff at IMC for the compassionate care she received.
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 from noon to 2 followed by a grave side service at the at Larkin Sunset Lawns, 2350East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah
