Richard Glen Peterson, in 1939 married Lucie Rimmasch (deceased) in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 74 years. Father of Sandra (William Black), David G. and Linda (Dan Howells), and grandfather to 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Born September 2, 1919, the second child of 6, born to Charles Leo and Marjorie Luella Hansen Peterson in Elsinore, Utah. Served in the US Air Force during WWII. Worked his entire career at the US Bureau of Mines, a job he loved.
Survived by brothers Donald and Gary preceded in death by sister Marjorie Bergen, and brothers Robert, Garth and granddaughter Hanna Peterson. Family extends deep appreciation to Envision Hospice and the staff at Summerfield Manor for their kind care. He was loved by all.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 7th, 2015from 10:30 - 11:30am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S, Sandy, Utah. Interment will follow graveside immediately after the viewing. In lieu of flowers, Dick would be pleased if you would donate to the LDS Missionary or Humanitarian fund.
