"In Loving Memory"

Dennis passed away August 3, 2016 due to complications of cancer. He was born June 24, 1953 to Helen Judd and Melvin L. Nielsen. He graduated from Bingham High School, and went on to Utah Technical College where he graduated in ConstructionCarpentry. He built numerous homes throughout the years, including the home he lived in for 24 years. Dennis enjoyed golf with a passion, he was a member of Forest Dale Men's Assoc., where he enjoyed golfing with many friends and especially golfing with his son, Alec. He was also an avid University of Utah Football fan, where he enjoyed a good game, friends and family. Dennis worked for Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District for over 20 years and he considered his work place and co-workers his second family, thanks for making it a great place to work.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 25 years, Angela Tucker Nielsen, his son Alec Nielsen his pride and joy, brother, Michael (Carolyn) Nielsen, mother-in-law, Elizabeth Kyriopoulos, brothers and sisters-in-law, Lisa Nielsen, Marianne (Kevin) Fenn, Scott (Jane) Tucker, Sherry Tucker (Eddie), Christopher (Lynn) Tucker and Patrick Tucker. Also, survived by many nephews and nieces and countless friends. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ronald, father-in-law, Tom and sister-in-law, LeeAnn Tucker.

Dennis worshipped and belongs to his Savior at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Taylorsville, UT.

Dennis, you are my strength and my companion. I love you more….Angie

Dad, you're the greatest and strongest person I know. Keep practicing golf because I will be meeting you on the back nine. Your son, Alec.

Memorial services will be Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. at The Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1441 W. Tamarack Rd (4630 So.) Taylorsville, UT 84123, where a visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10th 6:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. That is Dennis' way of spreading the "Good News" that your Savior Lives and so do I.
