Calvin Arnold Lambert

1927 ~ 2017

Cal returned home to his parents and siblings Thursday, July 27, 2017. It was surely a FANTASTIC reunion. Cal was born in Salt Lake City to Thomas and Pearl Lambert on May 27, 1927. He adored his wife Ruth, his four sons Dave (Joy), Rich (Sandy), Greg (Julie), Steve (Heather) and his daughter Julie. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and Julie\s husband, Rick. He continuously inspired his family which include 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He loved his 40 plus years at ZCMI starting as a salesman and working his way to Division Manager of Home Furnishings. His work took him around the world. At retirement he created Lambert Travel.

He cherished his travel business and provided memories and joy to hundreds of people that were blessed to experience Cal\s special touch and unique detail everywhere they went. Cal\s Monument Park Trips to Saint George Utah were his favorite for over 25 years. There was not a person on earth Cal did not love.

He taught by example and never spoke ill about anyone echoing his Mother\s frequent reminder that "if you can\t say something nice don\t say anything at all." He loved all youth and was devoted to his responsibilities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He treasured his time as a home teacher and excelled as a recommend desk volunteer in the Salt Lake Temple. He loved the gospel and his Savior Jesus Christ. Most of all he cherished his family and friends. No one made better homemade ice cream, pecan rolls, chocolate marshmallows or caramels.

Cal often would say, "how come I\m so lucky" accompanied by a big hug. He will be missed but not forgotten as his Christ-like traits live on in those he touched.

Viewing will be Tuesday August 1 from 6pm ‚ 8pm at Larkin Sunset Lawn 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, UT.
