Carmen Irma Snasel, age 91, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed peacefully into the next life on Monday, January 14, 2019 with her eternal companion, and children, by her side. Irma was born June 23, 1927 in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico to Inocencia and Antonio Sosa whom she loved and adored. She had 8 brothers and 4 sisters and had a very special relationship with her sisters throughout her life. Irma met her sweetheart Jerry Snasel while he was serving in the military and stationed in Puerto Rico. They married on June 24, 1954 and later joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and were sealed in the Provo, Utah temple.
Irma had a passion for being an excellent homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to keep a neat and tidy home. She especially loved spending time with her husband and grandchildren and would often proclaim that each one of her grandchildren looked just like her and were her "babies".
Irma is survived by her husband Jerry, her children, Michael (Ruth) Snasel, and Sandy (Matthew) Romney and grandchildren, Carli (Donny), Mary (James), Michael (Hannah), Kristin (Craig), Jared (Lauren), Jacob (Danielle), Sarah (Alex), Hannah (Brandon) and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 1:30 pm at Larkin Mortuary, 3688 W 12600 South Riverton, UT. A viewing will be held from 12:15 to 1:15 prior to the funeral services.
Interment will be at Camp Williams cemetery, 17111 S. Camp Williams Rd, Bluffdale.
